1. Who We Are

Cedar & Compass ("we," "us," "our") operates this website at shopcedarcompass.com and sells digital products through our Etsy storefront. This policy applies to information collected through this website and through our use of connected platforms, including the Pinterest API.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Contact information you voluntarily provide, such as your name and email address, if you contact us directly (e.g., via email).
• Usage and analytics data, such as pages visited, general location (city/region level), device/browser type, and referral source, collected automatically through standard web analytics.
• Pinterest account and engagement data, if you connect your Pinterest account to our app or interact with content we publish via the Pinterest API. This may include your Pinterest username, board information, and engagement metrics (such as pin impressions, saves, and clicks) tied to content we post.

We do not collect payment card information, passwords, or government ID numbers through this Site. Purchases are processed entirely through Etsy's own secure checkout, governed by Etsy's Privacy Policy.

3. Data Retention

Contact information you send us is retained only as long as needed to respond to your inquiry, and is deleted or archived within 24 months of our last correspondence with you. Analytics data is retained in aggregate/anonymized form and is not tied to identifiable individuals after 14 months. Pinterest account and engagement data is retained only for as long as your Pinterest account remains connected to our app, and is deleted from our systems within 30 days of disconnection (see Section 5).

4. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

• Respond to customer inquiries sent to us directly;
• Understand how visitors use this Site so we can improve our content and products (analytics);
• Publish pins and content to Pinterest on our own behalf via the Pinterest API, and measure how that content performs (e.g., impressions, saves, click-throughs) so we can improve future content;
• Maintain the security and proper functioning of this Site and our connected applications.

We do not use Pinterest-derived data for advertising targeting outside of Pinterest's own platform, and we do not use it to build individual user profiles for resale or marketing purposes.

5. What Happens When You Disconnect Pinterest

If you or we disconnect a Pinterest account from our app, any Pinterest-derived data associated with that connection (tokens, account identifiers, engagement data tied to that account) is deleted from our active systems within 30 days. We do not continue to post to, or pull data from, a Pinterest account after it has been disconnected.

6. Sharing With Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We do not resell or redistribute Pinterest content or Pinterest-derived data to any third party. We may share limited information with service providers who help us operate this Site (e.g., hosting and analytics providers), solely to provide those services, and only under obligations to protect that data. We may also disclose information if required to do so by law.

7. Cookies & Analytics

This Site may use cookies or similar technologies for basic analytics purposes (understanding traffic and usage patterns). You can disable cookies through your browser settings; doing so may affect some Site functionality.

8. Children's Privacy

This Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Pinterest API Use & Non-Affiliation Statement

Cedar & Compass uses the Pinterest API to publish and manage content on Pinterest. Cedar & Compass is not endorsed by, sponsored by, certified by, or affiliated with Pinterest, Inc. "Pinterest" and the Pinterest logo are trademarks of Pinterest, Inc., used here solely to describe our integration with their platform.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal/regulatory reasons. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
